This session provides an introduction to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and is designed to help participants, families, carers, and community members build their understanding of how the Scheme works. Attendees will learn about the purpose of the NDIS, who may be eligible, and the different pathways available to access disability supports.

The session will explore key NDIS concepts, including how the Scheme supports people with disability to pursue their goals and increase their independence, the roles and responsibilities of the NDIS and other mainstream services, and what to expect throughout the participant journey. This presentation is ideal for people who are new to the NDIS or would like a better understanding of the Scheme and the supports available.

These information sessions are facilitated and delivered by the NDIA Community Engagement team.

The NDIA Community Engagement team will also have a NDIS Information table 11am-1.30pm for drop in questions and discussions.

Free, bookings essential.
