Join us 22 - 28 August for some fun activities celebrating Children’s Book Week 2026.

This year we have a special guest author Toni D'Alia for Storytime at Mornington Library and free face painting at Hastings, Rosebud and Somerville Library as well as our dress up Storytimes at each branch.

So choose your favourite book character to dress up as and come and join in the fun!

Dress Ups Storytime and Face Painting

Join us for a special Preschool Storytime to celebrate Book Week 2026.

Dress up as your favourite book character and join us after a magical story, for a parade around the libraries to showcase your incredible outfits!

With free face painting before and after (10-11am and 11.30-12.30pm) the Storytime, it’s a celebration full of stories, smiles, and creativity.
