To ensure our library is a safe, welcoming and inclusive space for everyone, your entry and use of these premises is subject to the following conditions. By entering, you agree to comply with them.
Respect for people
Treat all staff and fellow library users with courtesy and respect at all times. Harassment, intimidation, threatening, aggressive, hate speech, indecent or insulting behaviour or language will not be tolerated.
Children
Children aged twelve and under must be accompanied and supervised by a guardian at all times.
Photography and recording
Photography, filming or recording of any kind — including of children (not your own), other users or staff - is not permitted. Approval may be withdrawn at any time.
Vehicles
Users must not ride scooters, bikes, skateboards, roller skates, rollerblades or similar items in the facility.
Personal belongings
You are responsible for your own belongings. Please do not leave them unattended. Food and drink Food and drink are not permitted at public computers to ensure equipment remains in good working order for all users.
Footwear and clothing
We kindly ask that all visitors wear appropriate clothing and footwear when visiting the library. As a shared community space, swimwear or bathers must be covered up before entering, to ensure everyone feels comfortable and welcome
Noise
This is a shared space, and noise levels may vary throughout the day. Please be considerate of other users at all times.
Care of property
Please respect Shire property. You will be held liable for any loss or damage you cause.
Prohibited substances
Alcohol and illicit drugs are not permitted on these premises or in the surrounding area.
Animals
Only registered assistance animals, such as guide dogs, are permitted on these premises.
Compliance
While on these premises, you must follow all reasonable directions given by staff and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures of these premises and the Shire.
Right to request departure
You must leave immediately if asked to do so by staff, the Councilor any relevant authority.
