Join us for a special hands‑on session in partnership with Mornington Peninsula Shire Community Animal Shelter.
During this fun and interactive session, participants will:
- Read to friendly shelter cats – help socialise cats while practising reading skills in a calm environment.
- Take a behind‑the‑scenes tour of the animal shelter – discover how the shelter cares for its animals and how we can all support responsible pet ownership.
- Make your own DIY cat toy – create an enrichment toy that will be donated to a shelter cat or taken home for a pet of your own.
Ages 6-12.
Free, bookings essential.
Program Safety Notice: Participants will be interacting with a variety of domestic animals during this program. To ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone, we ask that all instructions from Library and Community Animal Shelter staff are followed carefully.
