Anzac Day Craft with Craft Presenter Peta - Hastings Library
Next date: Thursday, 23 April 2026 | 10:00 AM
to 12:00 PM
Join craft presenter Peta for a hands‑on creative session that brings history to life.
Discover how to research your First World War ancestor, explore why poppies have become a symbol of Anzac remembrance, and see beautiful vintage silk postcards from the WW1 era as Peta shares the stories behind how they were made.
Then we will create our own postcards featuring poppies and other flowers, a stunning craft that echoes the sentimental keepsakes sent home by soldiers a century ago.
If you know the name of a WW1 ancestor, bring it along and Peta can show you how to start your research.
All materials will be supplied.
Free, bookings essential.
