This behind the scenes conversation will explore what goes into running a contemporary public gallery, from planning programs to selecting artists and shaping an exhibition from planning to installation to opening day.
Hear how exhibitions are curated, how decisions like wall colours and layout help tell a story, and what goes into conserving a collection, especially delicate works on paper.
Our speaker will also discuss collaborating with Indigenous and international artists, highlights from the MPRG collection, and how the gallery supports emerging and future artists.
Whether you're an artist, an art lover, or simply curious about how galleries bring exhibitions to life, this is a fascinating opportunity to learn directly from the people who make it happen.
Free, bookings essential.
