Library Tours and Outreach

library tour

Mornington Peninsula Shire Library is excited to offer free tours and outreach visits for schools, kinders, childcare centres, retirement villages, and community groups. Whether you’d like to bring your group to the library or have us come to you, we’re here to help make learning fun, engaging, and accessible for everyone.

For Schools, Kinders, and Childcare Centres:

We’d love to visit your school or early learning centre to run tailored sessions that suit your students' interests and learning needs.

Here are just a few options we can offer:

  • Storytime Sessions
Fun and interactive sessions with books, songs, and rhymes – perfect for younger children.
  • Library Information Sessions
Learn how to use the library, explore our digital collections, and discover the services available to students and families.
  • Community Helper Projects
We’ll introduce the library’s role in the community and how libraries support lifelong learning.

Want something different? Let us know! We’re happy to work with you to create a session that fits your curriculum.

For Community Groups and Retirement Villages

We also offer visits for adult groups and seniors. These sessions can include:

  • Library Services Overview
Learn about the range of services we provide, both in-person and online, including borrowing, OLiV – Our Library Van, the Home Library service, Tech Help, and more.
  • Using Digital Resources
Get support with using eBooks, audiobooks, streaming platforms, and our other online tools like games, craft tutorials and online learning.
  • Programs, Locations and Support
Hear about our regular programs, events, and where to find library branches or where OLiV (Our Library Van) stops.
  • Custom Sessions for Your Group
Have something specific in mind? We're happy to tailor the session to suit your group’s interests or needs.
