What is Dungeons and Dragons?
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is a collaborative fantasy role-playing game where participants work together to create stories, solve problems, complete quests and overcome challenges in an imaginary setting.
As part of gameplay, participants may encounter age-appropriate fantasy themes including:
All sessions are facilitated by an experienced Dungeon Master, alongside a library staff member, to ensure a safe, inclusive and respectful environment. Content is moderated to be appropriate for the age group, and any themes that may cause discomfort or distress will be managed sensitively. Participants are encouraged to speak with staff at any time if they feel uncomfortable with any aspect of the game.
By registering for the program, parents/carers acknowledge that Dungeons & Dragons involves fictional fantasy storytelling and role-play, and may include age-appropriate themes of adventure, conflict and challenge as part of the game experience.
