Author Talk: Lauren Mallaby - Rosebud Library

Next date: Friday, 06 November 2026 | 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

A book cover showing the title Unravelling the Sacred: When God felt unsafe and faith had to be reclaimed. by author Lauren E Mallaby. There are colourful lightening bolts on a dark marbled background.

Lauren’s debut book, Unravelling the Sacred, explores spiritual trauma and the often complicated journey of finding a way forward after experiences that have left us questioning faith, identity and ourselves.

Through her writing and conversations, Lauren creates space for curiosity, reflection and the possibility of seeing things differently. She is passionate about helping people reclaim their voices, make meaning from their experiences and discover that there can be life, creativity and freedom beyond what once felt like the only way.

Lauren lives in Victoria, Australia, where she can usually be found with a book, paintbrush, cup of tea or several creative projects on the go.

The event would include a short author talk about the journey of writing the book, a reading of selected excerpts, and a conversation about the themes it explores, including spiritual trauma, belonging, identity, courage, and finding your own voice after experiences that have caused harm. While the book touches on difficult experiences, the presentation is hopeful, reflective, and focused on curiosity, compassion, and personal growth.

Free, bookings essential.
